Asian Games Day 5 Results - Korea beats China to Reach Finals, Taiwan Stomps Japan!

Game 13: Chinese Taipei 10, Japan 4 Boxscore

After being shutout by Korea, Taiwan came back to beat Japan to advance to the championship game. They scored a total of 10 runs in the first 3 innings and never looked back. KUO Yen Wen hit a 3 run blast in the second inning and CHIANG Chih Hsien went 3-5 with 2 runs scored. Taiwan needs their minor league players to step up tomorrow to compete with Korea. It'll either be a very competitive match or a walk in the park for Korea if they don't have pitching again. Anyway, Go Taiwan!!

Game 14: Korea 7, China 2 Boxscore

For a second I thought China had a legitimate chance of beating Korea(maybe not). They tied the game on two separate occasions until the pitching fell apart in the 5th. Li Xin didn't make it past 2 innings again but the the hitters made the Korean pitchers work today. If you were able to watch the game, it was a great effort by the Chinese players. Yeah, a loss is a loss, but it meant a lot to the players that they kept up with the Koreans. Perhaps people will come out to support them for the return of China Baseball League (I hope).

Tomorrow will be the last two games of the tournament:
Game 15: Japan Vs. China 12:30 PM KST Bronze Medal Game
Game 16: Korea Vs. Chinese Taipei 6:30 PM KST Gold Medal Game

Anyway, The CBL released their schedule for this year. I will work on the translation and details of the league after tomorrow's championship game. Take care and bye bye!
